Unfortunately on my first wearing the very flimsy clasp broke so I have had to send it back for a refund. This is such a disappointment as the crystal pearls are so pretty and the length was perfect. Very poorly made clasp however and it broke even with someone else doing it up for me, so no excuse about heavy handedness or stress on the clasp. Layers of coating? Absolutely not! Crystal core? Well only if the crystal looks and feels like plastic... Easy care? Pleeeeease! I am very careful with my jewelry and this cheap fake pearls can only be used if you are wearing gloves or a turtle neck on top of them, so you won't get caught with a part of your supposed fine jewelry peeling of, like just happened to me.
